Design News
View a sampling of my work as the Associate Editor with Design News, an engineering and design magazine and website.

Streetfrog Productions is an experimental playground of sorts, also known as an experiment in sound media and design. It is the home to a cast of characters that are representative of my illustration style and it has become a testing ground for new ideas in interaction.

Streetfrog.ORG is a new approach to music production and distribution. It is an attempt to reconnect with the music listener from a non-corporate perspective, and develop grassroots relationships with its fans and supporters.

The Post Script is the web version of the Post Script News letter for Post Road Liquors, Upper Falls Liquors and Auburndale Wine and Spirits. More media rich content is intended from the company including interactive selection guides and Food Pairing.

The Urban Communication Foundation
is a group established to "promote and support research into urban communication, sponsor activities, encourage young scholars, and reward outstanding scholarship in this broadly defined area." I was asked to develop their web site and imaging.

The Noise in The Tunnel is an experimental sound component of Sean Snyder INK, which is broken up into two parts: From the Lab & Voice Advice.

From the Lab showcases some of my music production and sound design that explores spatial and rhythmic textures.

Voice Advice is an exploration of the textures, qualities and limitations of the human voice as a recorded medium.

Audissey Productions is the production entity of Audissey Guides. I was responsible for the visual and structural design and development of the site in collaboration with the owners.

Down the D Line (Master's Project) is a site specific audio composition based around the Boston MBTA Green Line, D Line. I recorded the ambient sounds of the train as it went from its start in the suburbs to its destination in the heart of the city, and divided it up into chapters by stations. I then added audio effects to certain parts of each chapter to draw out otherwise fleeting sounds of the train environment.

MySpace Project: I did a short lived project involving my characters and the popular Internet Community, MySpace. I created identities for these three characters, and had them interact with each other. I eventually developed a sort of message board comic strip across their blogs. It eventually became too much to create content and manage all of their profiles, but is still up and active with in the realm of MySpace.

The Fort Point Historic Archive was a proposed project that I developed along with my Partner (Sarah Smith) to deal with the gentrification within the Fort Point district of Boston. We proposed that there be a series of kiosks distributed throughout the neighborhood, where individuals, visitors or residents, could enter a declaration or impression into the system which would be retrievable through the kiosks or the web.

Friendster Project: I did an ethnography on the Internet community known as Friendster. I Studied and contacted users and evaluated their relationships to one an other and the network.
