For this project, I wanted to explore the concept and definition of masculinity. According to the Webster Dictionary, masculinity is:
The quality or nature of the male sex: the quality, state or degree of being masculine or manly.
This definition leaves a lot to be desired.
So I went out to people in my life, people whose perspective I respect and value and who would not only be willing to answer, but also be able to reflect on the question:
“How would you define masculinity?”

Chris is 34. He works at flower and garden stand and is pursuing his training to be an electrician.
Alex
Alex is 41. He is a lawyer and competes in strength sports.
Brendan
Brendan is 46. He works in life sciences and volunteers in his community.
Derek
Derek is 58. He is a healthcare professional and is a father.
Paul
Paul is 81. He is a retired federal employee and a grandfather.
